About the Role | M te tnga We are seeking experienced Senior Stainless-steel Fabricators to join our team. Reporting to one of our workshop Team or Production Leaders, the purpose of this role is to not only fabricate stainless-steel sheet metal products efficiently, but to also provide leadership to trade staff on specific jobs by getting these jobs underway, providing clarity and hands-on support throughout, and delivering to the quality standards and timeframes required.
Key responsibilities include: Analyse new jobs and projects and interpret resourcing requirements. Initiate and oversee jobs, projects, and tasks, and provide direction and clarification to team members. Provide guidance, training, and support to workshop-based team members.
Lead team-based problem-solving processes on the job. Fabrication of stainless-steel vessels, pipe runs, ducting, and transitions. Reading and interpreting CAD drawings and specifications.
Carrying out TIG, MIG and dual welding. Using workshop machinery including break press, guillotine, plate, and sectional rollers, and lifting equipment. Understand and conduct polishing procedures as required.
Adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
