Civil Site Foreman Are you an experienced and motivated leader in the field of civil construction? ALH is seeking a dedicated individual to join our clients team as a Civil Construction Foreperson. As the Foreperson, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Coordinate and manage day-to-day activities on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of construction professionals, including equipment operators, laborers, and subcontractors. Foster a positive and collaborative working environment. Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all team members and compliance with industry safety standards.
Quality Control: Oversee the quality of work performed, conducting regular inspections to ensure that construction meets the required standards and specifications. Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Provide regular updates on project progress and address any issues promptly.
Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve challenges that may arise during construction, finding practical and efficient solutions to keep projects on track. Equipment Management: Coordinate the use and maintenance of construction equipment, ensuring all machinery is in optimal working condition. Cost Management: Monitor project expenses and ensure that resources are used efficiently.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality. Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil construction, with a proven track record of successful project management. - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of civil construction processes, techniques, and materials. - Familiarity with safety regulations and a commitment to creating a safe work environment. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Problem-solving mentality and the ability to make decisions under pressure. - Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite. Education: - Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
