Description Te Tranga | About the role: As Site Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for leading the operation of our site based in Dargaville, Northland. With approximately 360 processing staff at peak season, this site contributes significantly to Silver Fern Farms overall production volumes. Dargaville services a vast network of livestock suppliers throughout the northern region of the North Island and is a key employer in the region.

The key impact areas of this role are to deliver on: Commercial Focus: Understand the commercial drivers and profitability levers within the business, ensuring the site operates efficiently and cost-effectively while maintaining high-quality standards. Drive the performance of the plant to meet or exceed business and financial targets.

Leadership & Culture: Provide strong and proactive leadership while building a culture of safety, high performance, and continuous improvement across the site. Develop and nurture team capabilities through championing coaching and mentoring. Manufacturing Planning & Execution: Execute our short and long-term strategic plans under guidance and in collaboration with the Operations Leadership Team.

Oversee site performance across all key dimensionspeople, quality, safety, production, and engineering. Asset & Production Management: Focus on maximising plant efficiencies and cost control to meet operational goals. Own and manage the sites assets, ensuring the long-term sustainability of capital investments.

Operational Excellence: Drive operational efficiency, process improvement, and the development and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) that support business objectives. Lead initiatives to enhance productivity and profitability and identify opportunities to improve quality, safety, and reduce costs.
