This is your opportunity to support individuals recovering from brain injuries or other complex conditions as they regain independence and confidence. Join this dedicated and values-driven Community Team delivering the ACC Training for Independence contract across the Greater Wellington region. In this varied and rewarding role, you'll work closely with clients in their homes and local communities, as well as provide support within a residential facility setting.
Your work will directly contribute to improving quality of life for clients and their whnau - empowering them through practical support, advocacy, and personalised care. What's on offer: Part-time role - 20 hours per week, no weekends or shift work Flexible caseload management and autonomy in your day-to-day Be part of a collaborative team with a supportive manager Make a real difference through practical, client-led support and practical solutions Competitive salary aligned with MECA What you'll be doing: Assess individual needs, strengths, and support systems to help restore independence Provide guidance on financial matters, living arrangements, and life transitions Advocate for clients and their whnau, including during crisis situations Collaborate with Allied Health professionals and track client progress Help clients access external resources and community services What you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Social Work (or equivalent). Minimum of 2 years' experience in the field.
A current NZ Practicing Certificate. Full NZ driver's license. NZ citizenship, residency, or valid work visa.
