We are seeking Expressions of Interest for a Staff Housing Manager to join our Infrastructure Delivery team in Wellington and the Horowhenua District. The purpose of this role is to implement a housing strategy, managing the housing needs for a major project.
You will also prioritise minimising disruption to the local housing market and enhancing outcomes for local communities. Key outcomes will include Delivering a positive and lasting legacy outcome for partners and the community Leading the implementation of cost effective staff housing strategy Ensuring alignment with project timelines and requirements Provide pastural care to project teams and their whanau This is a Full-Time, Fixed-Term or Internal Secondment opportunity with a planned end date of December 2028. About you This role would suit someone with a diverse professional background, particularly in procurement with a financial or leasing focus.
You will have significant project management experience, ideally in complex and/or multi-stakeholder environments. Wed also value: Housing management experience with exposure to alliancing models or infrastructure-related projects would be advantageous. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and engage effectively with iwi, hap, and local councils.
Experience working with NZTA, Crown-owned properties, or in Kinga Ora is desirable. An understanding of the property development landscape, particularly how it relates to ppkainga and Mori housing solutions. Strong negotiation abilities coupled with solid commercial acumen.
Qualification in Procurement, Property Management or Real Estate or relevant experience is beneficial. This may suit someone based in Wellington, the Horowhenua District, or Palmerston North. Occasional travel within the region will be required.
