This is a senior managment accounting role, providing financial management support and services to the Commercial Manager and site Asset Presidents in order to support profitable and efficient gold production.
You will provide financial advice for the operations with particular focus on cost management, capital efficiency and cashflow management. Key responsibilities: Business Intelligence reporting, cashflow management and producing operational reports. Assume primary responsibility for the financial preparation of Life of Mine Plans, Budgets and Forecasts.
Manage the financial reporting up to EBIT level for the Operation including inputs for the statutory finance package. Liaise and manage the relationship with NZ Financial Accounting team particularly on issues of accounting treatment, accounts payable, payroll and statutory reporting. Drive operational cost reviews, working closely with the continuous improvement team.
Conduct project analysis and supervise the preparation of AFE. Manage the capital allocation process and tracking of business improvement benefits. In-conjunction with Group treasury source, negotiate and manage operating leases and equipment hire agreements.
Provide assistance to the operation Asset President on all financial matters including board reports and papers. Review of non-core assets. Assist the Supply Chain Superintendent in reviewing stock holdings.
