M te tnga |About the role: Parliamentary Service is seeking x2 Support Staff Advisors to join our Member and Support Staff team. As a Support Staff Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive work environment and delivering exceptional services to Member Support Staff across the motu. Working closely with managers and staff, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional onboarding experiences, providing pastoral care, and coordinating support services that enhance employee wellbeing and engagement to our Member Support Staff.

Key responsibilities include: Leading the onboarding and induction process to welcome new Member Support Staff, ensuring new starters are effectively supported. Provide ongoing advice and pastoral care to support staff, acting as a trusted point of contact for wellbeing to help staff thrive in their roles. Facilitate access to Parliamentary Service resources and services to support staff effectiveness and engagement.

Building and nurturing strong, trusted relationships with staff, stakeholders, and partner agencies to foster collaboration and seamless service delivery. Support a positive workplace culture aligned with Parliamentary Service values. The starting base salary for this role is $81,107 annum (remuneration band extends beyond the appointing salary to account for tenure progression).

T kete | What you will bring to the role: Proven experience in a similar advisory or support role, preferably within HR, employee support, adult learning delivery or pastoral care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across diverse groups. Empathetic, approachable, and discreet, with a genuine passion for supporting others.

Youre empathetic in your approach, whilst remaining customer centric and managing expectations effectively. Excellent communication skills, calm and organised, with strong multitasking and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
