Join our Waimea Residential Recovery Service as a Support Worker and offer support to people who are facing mental health challenges to live their best lives according to them. The Waimea service supports high-needs guests on their mental health journey and can house up to 16 whai ora. This role is challenging but rewarding, offering the chance to make a real difference in people's lives.
Youll also Focusing on the individuals needs and providing culturally safe practice Relevant administrative tasks, comprehensive notes and effective handover, and supporting and collaborating with your colleagues Support people with independent daily living skills. Youll need to be prepared to support our clients to do whatever it takes While the people you support are asleep, you will be kept busy with other tasks like cleaning and supporting the day shifts with maintaining things like filing, first aid kits, emergency kits and preparation of paperwork About You | Mu Youll work in a recovery focused way and have impeccable attention to detail. Youll also Preferred but not essential to hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or a recognised equivalent) or be willing to commence study towards this qualification within six months of starting with us and complete it within 2 years.
