Join our pioneering team and launch your career to new heights About the Role As a Mechanical Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of complex mechanical systems of the Neutron launch vehicle.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all mechanical components integrate seamlessly, demonstrating that program requirements are met through system verification. Systems Engineers are strong communicators, who combine expertise in technical assessment to optimise system performance, and possess a depth of knowledge to be able to define process excellence for the project. Successful candidates will thrive in ambiguity, and are excited to work in a small, high performing team focused on continued learning and growth.

This position is ideal for a multidisciplinary engineer keen to hit the ground running in support of a complex project from critical design through to integration and launch. Essential Skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent 3 year's industry experience in the design, development, and test of mechanical systems in a relevant technical field (i.e.

Structures, Fluid Systems, Mechanisms, Propulsion) Demonstrated experience in delivering complex multidisciplinary systems with hardware, embedded software, application software and mechanical components Proven track record of technical leadership and mentorship on projects from concept to completion Strong desire to learn new material in order to solve difficult, ambiguous challenges Desired Skills Experience with MIL-STD/DO-160/SMC-S-016 environmental qualification testing Experience in Systems Engineering tools e.g. Rhapsody, DOORS, Jama Strong understanding of quality management such as standards, regulations and applicable policies and procedures such as information, change and configuration management Experience with fault-tolerance strategies and architectures for safety and mission critical systems Rocket Lab Employee Benefits The opportunity to work on innovative and ground breaking technology An employee stock purchase pro.
