Description Te Tranga /About the Role As a Team Leader in Secondary Butchery at our Finegand site, you will be responsible for providing operational support to your team on the floor to meet daily production requirements, as well as observing and monitoring quality and safety compliance. The Secondary Butchery is the department where carcasses are broken down into cuts and packed for wholesale distribution. With the support of the leadership team, you will have the chance to drive continuous improvement initiatives and grow your career; with a range of development opportunities on offer.
This is a Day Shift position and interested applicants will need to be available for production hours Monday to Friday 6am 3.30pm approx.; as well as pre-start production meetings and some Saturday work as stock flow requires.
Te Mahi /Key Responsibilities: Communicating what food safety, quality and compliance requirements are, specific to your team, and actively observing the chain to ensure these are maintained at all times Training and coaching members of your team to understand what specifications and production targets mean and how they relate to the team members work Organising daily production requirements in conjunction with your manager and clearly communicating this with your team u Pkenga/About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate leadership qualities and experience, ideally from your time spent working in the manufacturing, FMCG or primary industries; and be driven by building a safe, quality focused and positive culture within your team. You will be confident with identifying areas for improvement within the plant and have a desire to progress your career in the red meat industry where opportunities are endless.
