GHD is seeking an experienced and dynamic person to take on the role of Technical Director Engineer to Contract for our New Zealand Transport Infrastructure business group.

This position is based in Auckland working across our GHD offices throughout New Zealand. This is a project leadership role accountable for the successful delivery of construction projects as the named Engineer to Contract. Through this role you will contribute to building and strengthening our transport business and managing risk through the construction phase of project delivery.

As a leader in our business you will coach and mentor our people, while offering innovative solutions for our clients across the government and private sectors. Key Responsibilities: Take on the role of Engineer to Contract L3 in Civil Infrastructure project delivery Deliver high quality independent surveillance, verification, contract management and administration services for transport infrastructure projects Identify and develop new technical solutions and solve more complex client challenges. Understand clients expectations and help manage the client interface.

Accountable for the delivery of the project to the clients and GHDs expectations Provide technical leadership across the Service Line, with an emphasis on growing GHD's capabilities and expertise. About you: Degree qualified engineer (Civil) with at least 15 years industry experience, preferably in a similar role Certified to the NZTA accreditation to Engineer to Contract Level 3 and Engineers Representative Level 3 or be able to clearly demonstrate the ability to achieve this accreditation. Able to demonstrate leadership in workplace and site safety always contributing to a positive safety culture Possess a deep understanding of all aspects of the delivery of complex infrastructure projects, including the different contact forms, procurement methodologies and client drivers and demonstrate proactive and analytical problem-solving skills Strong working knowledge of NZS3910:2013 and 2023 and familiarity with other forms of contract.

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) Able to demonstrate a track record for delivering exceptional client experience, and proven ability to cross sell and identify new service offerings. Possess a valid NZ driver's license. Interested? Apply now.
