About the Role: We are searching for a fabric-loving retail star to join us in the full-time(34.5 hours) 2IC role in our store at the Tannery Complex in Woolston. As the 2IC, youll be a proactive and passionate individual who excels in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the team to meet sales targets.

Youll be key in creating memorable in-store experiences for our customers and act as the go-to person in the Store Manager's absence. Operational excellence, an eye for visual merchandising, and product knowledge will come naturally to you. Ideally, you will have: - A genuine passion for fashion, garment construction, and sustainable textiles, with a love for sharing the value of beautiful fabrics and inspiring creativity.

- An appreciation for textiles that goes beyond sales, reflecting our values of mindfulness and quality. - Experience with store and business KPI expectations and a proactive approach to identifying sales opportunities. - Strong time-management and organisational skills to balance tasks efficiently.

- The ability to collaborate with the Store Manager and team to meet shared goals and values. - Enthusiasm and a positive energy that motivates those around you. In this role, you will: - Proactively identify and act on sales opportunities to achieve store targets.

- Support the team in providing exceptional customer service, aligning with the stores high standards. - Foster a positive, customer-focused environment in-store, using your excellent interpersonal skills. - Assist in the training, and development of part-time team members.

- Maintain and implement visual merchandising standards, ensuring displays align with brand directives. About The Fabric Store: The Fabric Store is a boutique fabric retailer, that specialises in contemporary designer dress fabrics and textiles, with a strong focus on natural fibres. Our brand began in New Zealand, and now has stores throughout New Zealand and Australia, as well as an international online store.

Fabrics are sourced from both local and international designers and include silks, linens, wool suiting & coatings, satins, cottons and specialty pieces such as merino jersey, leather hides and Liberty of London prints.
