Trainer Phlebotomist Patient Services Permanent, Full-time Whangarei, Northland Who we are | Ko wai mtou: Are you an experienced, patient-focused Phlebotomist/ Medical Laboratory Pre-Analytical Technician able to join a collaborative team, and thrive in a fast-paced environment? With state-of-the-art equipment, Awanui Labs Northland (previously known as Northland Pathology Limited) provides high-quality diagnostic pathology services to the Te Tai Tokerau / Northland community. About the role | M te tranga: Based in Whangarei, Northland. We are currently seeking a qualified Phlebotomist to train and guide our staff.

This a permanent, full-time position of 80 hours fortnightly. Its Monday-Friday working 8 hours per day between 07:30 and 17:30 on a rostered basis. We are offering the $28.

46 to $33 depending on relevant qualifications and prior relevant experience. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate a high level of technical competency. Able to train, guide and nurture staff.

Clearly communicate with patients to correctly identify patient and match to Collection Management System. Blood collection using appropriate technique, order of draw and following standard operating procedures including labelling and documentation. Adhere to all health and safety requirements.

About you | He krero mu To be successful in this role you need to have: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a phlebotomist in a relevant role. Registered with Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand and a Current Annual Practising Certificate Demonstrated technical expertise and a thorough understanding of phlebotomy protocols and practices. An ability to coach & train others with a positive and friendly approach and to demonstrate cultural and social sensitivity.

Compassion for others, including a real desire to provide high-quality care to a wide variety of patients of all ages and circumstances. Excellent customer service skills including a high level of personal presentation. Strong attention to detail and an ability to follow processes accurately, even when under pressure.
