How you will create an impact The role will report to the Head of Financial Lines and will be responsible for underwriting simple to complex risks, achieving high quality retention and new business. You will be engaging brokers in servicing individual accounts and supporting AIGs market visibility through AIG led events, broker and client engagements.

Key accountabilities will include but not limited to: Underwriting Financial Lines and Casualty lines of businesses for renewal and new business within authorities granted and in accordance with profit center guidelines. Establish/Maintain strong customer/industry relationships including, broker relationships with national, international and global broking firms, Assisting with the roll out of new products and initiatives, Service clients and brokers across New Zealand. Undertake presentation to clients and/or brokers where required, including product specific training and pitching for business.

Attain appropriate levels of expertise in all product lines including changes and developments. Seek opportunities to improve synergies and participate in cross-sell initiatives within the Financial Lines and Casualty lines Adherence to underwriting quality audit requirements, local, regional and global compliance requirements. What youll need to succeed Possess recognized insurance qualification and/or relevant tertiary degree from a recognized institution (beneficial) Financial Lines and/or Casualty Underwriting experience, risk management or broking background essential Risk assessment including new business reinsurance negotiations and developing renewal retention strategies.
