The Role We have a vacancy for a Veterinary Nurse with a special interest in small animal internal medicine, to join our growing referral companion animal team at our Feilding based clinic. We run a well-equipped, modern hospital with the latest equipment and an inhouse laboratory.

We offer a wide range of advanced treatment options for our clients. You will have the opportunity to work closely with specialist veterinarians, giving you the opportunity to utilize and expand your skills and knowledge. Responsibilities include: Providing excellent standards of care for our patients and clients Assisting with consultations Provision of a high standard of nursing care for medical patients General clinic administration tasks Assistance with the organisation and performance of various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including radiography, ultrasonography, and endoscopy Assisting with anaesthesia for a variety of medical and surgical procedures Monitoring care of patients and follow up after surgery Organization and management of processes for the referral of patients for medical investigation and care We are looking for a person who has the following qualities: A Veterinary Nurse Qualification with proven clinical skills Experience in veterinary nursing of complex medical patients Confident with performing routine and non-routine anaesthetics An enthusiastic level of customer service Excellent written and oral communication skills The ability to show empathy and respond to customer and patient needs A passion for animal health and wellbeing Your team skills will be excellent, and your ability to relate well to both customers and colleagues. You must be able to adapt to a constantly changing environment whilst maintaining a friendly and enjoyable working atmosphere Have initiative and a pro-active work ethic This position is a full-time position, Monday to Friday which includes participation in the Saturday roster and some late nights.
