D&Y Steel Limited is located in Auckland. We are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join us. You will work for a guaranteed 30 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $29.
66 to $31.00. Tasks - fabricating and repairing metal products using various welding techniques.
- shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering. - Reading blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements - selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock - cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame-cutting torches and metal cutting machines - aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments - joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting - cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiseling and grinding Requirements - At least 2 years trackable work experience as a welder - Able to work at height and adhere to Health and Safety regulations. - Long-term stability.
